Application management requires visibility from multiple vantage points within the IT enterprise, combined with a centralized information store that pulls the technology pieces of the application puzzle into a coherent whole.
The Cisco SD-WAN solution is a cloud-delivered overlay WAN architecture that enables digital and cloud transformation at enterprises. It significantly reduces WAN costs and time to deploy new services, and, builds a robust security architecture crucial for hybrid networks. Enterprises today face major user experience problems for SaaS applications on account of networking problems. The centralized Internet exit architecture is inefficient and results in poor SaaS performance. And branch sites are running out of capacity to handle Internet traffic which is a concern because more than 50% of branch traffic is destined to the cloud. More importantly there are many dynamic changes in Internet gateways and the SaaS hosting servers that lead to unpredictability in performance. The Cisco SD-WAN solution solves these problems by creating multiple Internet exit points, adding high bandwidth at branch locations, and dynamically steering around problems in real-time, resulting is an optimal SaaS

Think of a wildfire that quickly spreads as it increases in speed and power. That is what is happening today as data growth increases the volume and management complexity of storage, backup and recovery. Now think of trying to stop that fire with a garden hose. Your traditional backup and recovery process is equally under-equipped to manage and facilitate operations that need more speed, efficiency, scalability and reliability to handle today’s 24/7, always-on environment. Here we examine the benefits of moving from a solution comprised of multiple point products to a holistic data protection platform designed to serve today’s enterprise.
What You Will Learn:
This document will identify the essential capabilities you need in an advanced malware protection solution, the key questions you should ask your vendor, and shows you how Cisco combats today’s advanced malware attacks using a combination of four techniques:

In his 1966 book “The Psychology of Science,” American psychologist Abraham Maslow tackled the idea that those in the field of psychology needed to approach treatment from multiple perspectives, to take on new ideas, and not just continue using the same theories and techniques created by Freud and his followers so many years ago. Acknowledging that changing your point of view can be difficult, Maslow wrote “[I]t is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything like a nail.” We have all had this experience. We get so used to the way things have been done in the past, we sometimes don’t question the reasons for doing them.

Cloud computing has been gaining momentum for years. As the technology leaves the early adopter phase and becomes mainstream, many organizations find themselves scrambling to overcome the challenges that come with a more distributed infrastructure. One of those difficulties is getting through a major cloud migration.
It is one thing to roll out a few applications and cloud pilot projects, it is an entirely different challenge to start using the cloud across multiple lines of business at massive scale. That is the point that organizations are beginning to reach, and the time has come to take a serious look at cloud migration best practices.

Banking systems are inherently distributed in multiple branch and ATM locations, as well as home banking over the internet. As the number of access points grows, so does the complexity of IT systems management. Systems need to be readily available and productive yet secure and protected from data-breach.

In today’s application driven, cloud agnostic world, many organizations still rely on legacy, multiple point backup and recovery products that consist of backup software, target storage, media and master servers, and cloud gateways, all from different vendors. With slow backups and long recovery times of their existing backup products, organizations are unable to meet their tight business SLAs. Constant forklift upgrades and complex management UIs make it expensive to manage the current backup and recovery environments.

The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is a public research university and one of the 10 campuses of the University of California system. Its secondary storage was a combination of multiple point solutions. The UI/setup and maintenance was complex. Maintaining multiple licensing and maintenance agreements negatively impacted the administrative cost. The skyrocketing cost for additional backup capacity limited the team’s ability to expand their backup protection to many critical systems. With Cohesity's unified hyperconverged secondary storage platform, the IT team provided a single solution for all 13 departments to consolidate their backups on one platform, and scale-out as required. Read the case study and get details on how UCSB consolidated everything from backup to recovery, analytics to

When we released our first white paper in February 2015 discussing the ways multi-location businesses were using online media to drive in-store visits, most of the strategic opportunities being leveraged by marketers revolved around using things like promotional coupons, beacons and other tactics. While those methods certainly provided incremental lift in in-store traffic and revenue, there existed a number of gaps in connecting online data associated with promotional efforts, to data that indicated a customer actually converted offline at a business location. At press time for our original “online-to-offline” white paper, digital industry giants were still very much in the early stages of evaluating data points that signified offline customer conversions. Many of these “conversions” were somewhat implied (i.e. Clicks on “Get Directions” link), while others were a bit more reliable in signifying in-store visits and purchases made by consumers (i.e. downloadable coupon redeemed in-store

In the PC era, employees operated from within a well defined enterprise IT perimeter and passwords were sufficient to establish user trust. However, in today’s mobile-cloud environment, the enterprise perimeter has dissolved and business information is available to users on a variety of endpoints, apps, services, networks, locations. In this dynamic access environment, organizations need a different approach to security that is able to:
• Establish user trust using multiple factor authentication
• Correlate user trust with other factors such as endpoint, app, network, and more
• Apply adaptive, risk-based policies that match the user’s environment
